One of the oldest and most storied golf clubs in the Philippines, Wack Wack was founded in 1930 by William J. Shaw — an American resident who established the club specifically as a protest against racial discrimination in Philippine golf. Located in Mandaluyong in the heart of Metro Manila, the club spans 115 hectares and features two 18-hole championship courses. The East Course is the main championship layout at 7,317 yards, par 72, with sweeping water hazards, long fairways and small elevated greens — the infamous par-3 16th has ended many a promising round. It has hosted the Philippine Open, the 1977 World Cup of Golf where Gary Player and Seve Ballesteros competed, and numerous Asian Tour events. The West Course is a shorter all-weather par 72 layout popular with seniors and guests. Arnold Palmer, Gary Player and Seve Ballesteros have all played here. A genuine piece of Philippine sporting history. Members and guests only.
