The Akiki Trail is the most challenging route up Mount Pulag — the third highest peak in the Philippines at 2,922 metres. Rated among the most difficult trails in the Cordillera, the Akiki Trail involves dense mossy forest, steep ascents and challenging terrain before reaching the famous sea of clouds summit. Only recommended for experienced hikers in good physical condition. A registered local guide is mandatory and DENR permits must be obtained in advance. The trailhead is in Kabayan, Benguet.
