The tomb of General Emilio Aguinaldo the first President of the Philippines and leader of the Philippine Revolution is located within the Aguinaldo Shrine compound in Kawit Cavite. The tomb is a place of pilgrimage for Filipinos honoring the man who proclaimed Philippine independence on June 12 1898.
