The Ambangeg Trail is the most accessible route to the summit of Mount Pulag — the third highest peak in the Philippines at 2,922 metres. A more gradual ascent than the challenging Akiki Trail, Ambangeg is suitable for intermediate hikers and is the most popular route for those hoping to experience the famous sea of clouds at dawn. The trail passes through pine forests, mossy jungle and open grassland before reaching the summit. DENR permits and a registered local guide are mandatory. Located in Kabayan, Benguet.
