One of the most acclaimed golf clubs in the Philippines, Manila Southwoods in Carmona, Cavite features two Jack Nicklaus signature championship courses — the Masters and the Legends. Both are par 72 and set across 400 hectares approximately 34 kilometres south of Metro Manila. The Masters Course is widely regarded as the most challenging Nicklaus design in Asia, with 15 of its 18 holes featuring water hazards, narrow fairways and severe bunkering — including a par-3 third hole where sand stretches almost the full width. The Legends Course, opened in 1992, offers a slightly more forgiving layout while still providing a serious test of golf. Manila Southwoods has hosted multiple Philippine Open tournaments, the 1996 World Amateur Team Championship and numerous Asian Tour events.
